What is TEF?

TEF — Transferencia Electrónica de Fondos — is Chile’s interbank account-to-account transfer service, cleared by the Centro de Compensación Automatizado (CCA), which as the switch passes each transfer to the receiving bank immediately on receipt. Poplin pays out to Chile over TEF, settling within one business day at the latest.
